Terms & Conditions

Happa is an AI-powered mobile application developed and operated by Koola International Technologies Limited ("we", "us", "our"). The App enables users to extract event information from social media videos and save those events to Google Calendar.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Happa application and any related services we provide.

You must be at least 13 years of age to use Happa. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement.

If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

Happa uses Google OAuth 2.0 for authentication. By signing in with Google, you authorise Happa to:

• Access your Google account profile information (name, email address, profile picture).
• Read and write events to your Google Calendar on your behalf.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. We are not liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised access to your account due to your own negligence.

You can revoke Happa's access to your Google account at any time through your Google Account permissions page.

You may use Happa solely for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:

• Use the App to extract data for resale, aggregation, or commercial redistribution.
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the source code of the App.
• Circumvent any technical restrictions or security measures within the App.
• Use the App to harass, spam, or harm any third party.
• Upload or process content that infringes intellectual property rights.
• Violate the terms of service of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, or any third-party platform from which video content is extracted.
• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or crawlers to interact with the App.

Happa uses Google's Gemini AI to extract event details from video captions. We make no guarantee that extracted information is accurate, complete, or up to date.

You are solely responsible for reviewing and confirming event details before saving them to your calendar. We are not liable for any consequences arising from inaccurate AI extraction, including:

• Missed events due to incorrect dates or times.
• Incorrect locations or venues.
• Misidentified event names or descriptions.

Always verify event details with the original source before making plans based on extracted data.

Happa integrates with or depends on the following third-party services:

• Google Calendar API, subject to Google's Terms of Service.
• Google Gemini AI: AI processing governed by Google's AI usage policies.
• Firebase (Google): authentication and cloud data storage.
• TikTok, Instagram, Facebook: Happa accesses publicly available metadata via official oEmbed and public APIs only.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or actions of any third-party service. Your use of these integrated services is also governed by their respective terms and policies.

All content, design, trademarks, and code in Happa are owned by or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for personal purposes only.

Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to our intellectual property beyond this limited licence. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our express written permission.

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
• Warranties of non-infringement.
• Warranties that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

We do not warrant that the App will meet your specific requirements or that any errors will be corrected.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data or calendar events.
• Loss of revenue or business opportunities.
• Personal inconvenience arising from missed events.
• Any damages resulting from AI extraction errors.

This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Happa at any time, without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine to be harmful, fraudulent, or unlawful.

You may stop using the App at any time by:

• Uninstalling the App from your device.
• Revoking Google OAuth permissions from your Google account settings.
• Contacting us to request account deletion.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App.

Your continued use of Happa after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. If you do not agree with the updated Terms, you must stop using the App.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malawi. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malawi.
