Why WhatsApp events get lost
Events shared in WhatsApp arrive between dozens of other messages, usually in a group you are not looking at that minute. There is no link to open and nothing to save. Two days later the message is buried.
The manual way
- Long-press the message and choose Copy, or star it so you can find it later.
- Open your calendar and create an event with the title, date, time and place from the message.
- Add a reminder for the day before and the hour before.
The faster way with Happa
- Copy the message. Long-press it in WhatsApp and choose Copy. You do not need a link.
- Paste it into Happa. Open Happa and paste into the box on the home screen, then tap Extract event.
- Check what it found. The date, time and place are pulled from the words themselves, even from a messy message or a timetable with several sessions. Fix anything that looks off.
- Save with reminders. Choose a calendar reminder, a device alarm or both, then save.
Tips for busy group chats
- Save events straight away. Do it in the moment; group chats move fast.
- Copy the whole message, including the line with the place, so nothing is missing.
- Check the date against today. “This Saturday” means different days depending on when the message was sent.
Common questions
Does it work with forwarded messages?
Yes. Copy the text of the forwarded message and paste it into Happa. No link is needed.
What if the message lists several sessions?
Happa reads the timetable in the message so you can check what it found before saving.
Is anything shared back to the WhatsApp group?
No. Happa reads the text you paste. Nothing is posted or sent for you.
Try Happa
The next time an event lands in a group chat, copy it into Happa instead of scrolling back for it later.
