The manual way (works without any app)
- Find the details. Open the post and look for the date, time and place. Check the caption, the pinned comment and any text on the flyer image.
- Create the calendar event. In Apple Calendar or Google Calendar, add a new event with the title, date, time and location. Paste the post link into the notes so you can find it again.
- Add reminders. One day before and one hour before is a good default.
- Check the year and time zone. Event posts often leave out the year, and an event in another city may be in another time zone.
This works, but it means switching apps and typing while you are busy, which is exactly when events get forgotten.
The faster way with Happa
- Share the post to Happa. On the post, tap Share and pick Happa. You can also copy the link and paste it into Happa’s home screen.
- Happa reads it. It looks at the caption and the text on any flyer image and finds the title, date, time and place.
- You check it. Everything it found is on one screen. Fix anything that looks off. It is only saved after you confirm, and nothing is posted or shared for you.
- Choose how to be reminded. Pick a calendar reminder, a device alarm, or both, and when: at the start, 15 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day or 1 week before. Save to Apple Calendar or Google Calendar.
What you can share to Happa
- Instagram posts and Reels, TikTok videos, Facebook posts, YouTube videos and LinkedIn posts (as links)
- WhatsApp messages: see how to add a WhatsApp event to your calendar
- Photos of flyers and posters: see turn a flyer into a calendar event
Tips so you actually go
- Save it the moment you see it. A post you scroll past today may never surface again.
- Set two reminders. The day before lets you plan; the hour before gets you out the door.
- Note the ticket or RSVP link. Put it in the event notes so it is one tap away.
Common questions
Do I have to type anything?
No. Happa fills in the title, date, time and place. You only check what it found and fix anything that looks off.
Which calendars does it save to?
Apple Calendar on iPhone, and Google Calendar or your Android calendar on Android.
Can I set an alarm instead of a calendar reminder?
Yes. You can choose a calendar reminder, a device alarm, or both.
How much does it cost?
Happa is free to download. The app shows any cost before you are charged, so check the current details in the app.
